Story
In August 2019, I broke my leg in a very C.J.-style accident. One month later (while still on some pretty good painkillers), I vowed to do my best to train for the Great North Run 2020 in support of a charity. Having convinced friends and colleagues at Evidence Based Education to also participate, we opted to fundraise for the MS Society.
Of course, the Covid-19 pandemic meant that the 40th Great North Run was entirely reimagined as the Virtual Great North Run. In September 2020, I ran the virtual run; I created my own route around some of Newcastle's most iconic landmarks (with suggestions from anyone who donated to the fundraiser).
Now it's 2021 and the Great North Run returns to its traditional in-person format! The donations from 2020 have rolled into my fundraising goal for this year—can we match the generosity we saw last year?
Your donation motivates me to keep up with the training, helps EBE reach our collective fundraising goal, and (most importantly) supports the MS Society!
