Story
I am running the Great North Run for the second time for The Stroke Association in memory of my Grandma, Mary, who sadly passed away in March 2004 after suffering a number of strokes. My grandma was a massive part of my childhood and helped make me the person I am today.
Last year was the first time I had ever done any sort of run of this distance so I'm still a novice! I raised a massive £480 (plus gift aid) last year so I'm setting my target a little lower this year.
To try and raise as much money as possible I did say I'd have a full-on perm prior to the run if I reach my £300 target BEFORE Thursday 12th. That means I will complete the event looking like a poor man's Kevin Keegan circa 1975.
Still a touch short...
