Story
Join me by support my participation in the Sturge-Weber Foundation's 1st UPENN Bike Ride for Research. Each dollar raised will provide funding for patient and medical professional education, support and critical research for new treatments which ultimately may lead to a cure.
Sturge-Weber syndrome is a rare disease that affects 1 in 20,000 to 50,000 babies world wide. It affects the skin, brain and vision depending upon the severity of the disease. Many medical professionals are not familiar with SWS and do not know how to diagnose and treat the condition. The Sturge-Weber Foundation exists to bridge the gap between patients and medical professionals to provide the best treatment available and financial support ongoing research into new treatments and ultimately a cure.

I would love research done because I am tired of trying to explain to doctors what I have and how my body reacts and then they still don’t believe me
