Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I don't run - well I do, but not very well. And I don't really like running. BUT I wanted to do something that challenges me, and would help raise money for Cancer Research.
In April 2005 my Dad was diagnosed with cancer. A small, almost incidental lump on his chest was diagnosed as a metastatic carcinoma - a secondary tumour. Despite the best treatment that he could get, my Dad died in November 2005. The primary tumour was never identified. His diagnosis was a huge shock to us and him, and his loss was devastating to all is family. He still had so much more to give.
Cancer Research is doing invaluable work in the cancer investigations - both of the causes and for potential treatments. Although cancer is unlikely to ever be eliminated, with sufficient funding and research, it should be possible to prevent or treat more cases, more successfully. Please support my efforts to raise money. I will not only be running the Great Manchester Run, I am also doing the Great North and the Great South Runs in aid of Cancer Research.
Thanks for your support.
