Thanks for taking time to look at  my JustGiving page. Technology has made it very easy to bombard people with requests for donations and it is easy to be overcome by donation-fatigue. As it says in the advert - every little helps and as I mention below every little does indeed make a difference.  If you can make a donation,  no matter what the size, I and the BHF will be delighted.

After the drama surrounding the footballer Muamba none of us can be in doubt how effective CPR can be in saving lives - and returning the patient to remarkable health.  Just £5 is all it costs to train someone in CPR. If we manage to hit my target we can fund a defibrillator. As we all saw live on television a few weeks ago rapid access to this kind of equipment is vital to saving lives. 

On a more personal note I have been pursuaded by my chief technical adviser (eldest son Marc) on a bike to buy and all the accompanying equipment. I therefore now " have all the gear - but not a clue about cycling" Doubtless this will come with practice, although there are not too many days left. I'm definitely no Mark Cavendish. If I fail I will at least look the part - or as much the part as a middle-aged bloke in lycra on a racing bike can look.
