Story

Hi, it's Chris here. I have agreed to take on this challenge to ride to Paris from London in just three days.

As you'll probably know, France has been sweltering under record-breaking heatwaves all Summer, so the 500km trek will be no 'walk in the park'. With soaring temperatures forecast, it will be the toughest thing I've ever done.

My schedule is as follows:

Day 1 - Hampton Court  to Folkstone

Day 2 - Calais to Amiens

Day 3 - Amiens to Paris

My brother John is coming along to join in the punishment too!  Two over 60's who should know better. We are taking on the challenge and also trying to raise some money for St Luke's along the way!

Thank you for your support, we will try and get the job done!

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness. We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
