Story
Update: 03/10/08
Marathon Completed. After running a good first half (pushing Haile along to his world record) the second half was tough. The second half ended up taking 2hrs 30mins in comparison to the first which was 1:40. All in all it was an amazing experience and I have big respect for anyone who has run a marathon - especially with the pain of the last 10k and also the following days. Me Rob and Paul went out drinking with two other marathon first timers after the race, who were in equal amounts of pain which made me feel far better!
Photos will be uploaded as soon as Paul downloads them.
In summary I was over-taken by: a pink bunny rabbit; a yogurt pot; a lasagne, swiftly followed by his mate dressed as a fork; and a 1 year old child (pushed in a pram by dad).
Thank you to everybody who has so far contributed to MacMillan, I have heard many stories of how they have helped so many people and I just hope that we can make more a difference moving forward.
