Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Let me just start by saying I hate running! It's an awful thing to do. There's too many full kit w***kers out there, you get wee dugs chasing you around the park because after 10 minutes of 'pounding the tarmac', your legs look like undercooked sausages
Once the bravado had calmed down and the realisation had set in, mild panic followed. As I write this I'm in week 3 of the 8 week challenge and have ran 60 Kms so far. That might not sound a lot but it feels a lot for my fat frame!
I'm pushing hard to complete this not only as personal challenge to myself but more importantly to remember my friend Faizan. The circumstances in which Faizan passed almost mirrored how I lost my own father some years ago. It serves as a stark reminder that we are not bullet proof, not invincible and need help to make sure we are the healthiest we can be.
I'm happy to support The British Heart Foundation once again. Any donation you wish to offer, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance of your support XX
