From July 12-17 I'll be cycling from Edinburgh to London with the FondCross team, a cycling team of friends from the UK and USA.  We'll be pushing hard through sun and rain, up and down big hills over a 500 mile (800 km) route to raise funds for a great cause.

Fund Raising - Three of our friends in Ghana (names withheld for privacy) are doing exceptionally well in school - they are at the top of their classes, winning national scholarships and international physics competitions.  These three bright, dedicated students plan to pursue careers in medicine and economics that will allow them to offer realistic contributions that would turn around the living standards of the poor and vulnerable in the Ghanaian society.  Currently, their education funding needs are not being met, and through the FondoCross ride and other events we plan to meet their combined yearly tuition costs of $3,900 so that our friends in Ghana can reach their goals.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Friends of Foundation www.friendsoffoundation.org/, registered UK charity No. 1131538, who will forward your full amount donated (admin expenses are covered by the members and friends of the FoF charity) and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer (non-UK residents can also donate). So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
