Story
Hi, thanks for coming to my justgiving page :)
As some of you visiting this will already be aware, I am climbing Kilimanjaro at some point between January 6th and February 16th.
Now, obviously, I am not a very active or sporty person.
There are a couple of things I am expecting to happen on this trip:
1) Embarass myself in front of everyone
2) Hurt/Injure myself in the most ridiculous way possible
3) Get altitude sickness
Thankfully, because of the work of CRY, I know that my heart will have no issues with this climb. Some of us aren't so lucky.
Tom Clabburn sadly passed away in 2007 of an undiagnosed heart condition, and since then the Tom Clabburn Fund has raised over £70,000 for CRY to carry out their work of screening people, and research.
Now, I have no idea how much money this will raise, so I am offering a few incentives at donation milestones. If you have any suggestions I'm completely open to hear them.
Edit: 24/11
I've decided to be a bit reckless and offer incentives for you to donate to me (just in case saving lives isn't enough)
If I hit £150 in donations, I'll shave my head before I head to Kenya! My mop has garnered reviews such as 'tragic', 'a mess' and other compliments, so this pains me to do.
If I hit £250, the mp3 player I decide to take will consist of two songs only - Africa by Toto (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTQbiNvZqaY) and Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) by Shakira (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRpeEdMmmQ0) Can you spot the theme?
If I hit £500 I'll strip down at the top of the mountain and take a lovely photo for you all
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
