Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  Many will know the story of how my dear wife Linda and Linda Homewood's lovely husband Brynley were so cruelly diagnosed with MND within weeks of each other.  They shared the wretched experience with immense courage and dignity before passing away in February 2020 and May 2020 respectively.

They both participated in a drug trial overseen by Professor Nigel Leigh, and funds raised will go towards further research into this debilitating illness.

In May I shall be cycling four disused railway trails in the Peak District;  High Peak, Manifold Way, Monsal and Tissington, just short of 100 miles both ways.  I'll provide daily bulletins on Linda's Facebook page as to how I'm faring.  My inspiration will be Linda and Brynley, who somehow coped with the frustration, pain, despair and ultimately resignation in a way that is an example to us all.  I know Ukraine has been very much in our thoughts but if you can, please give generously.   Thank you.  Chris

The overwhelming response over the last few weeks is such that I have twice been able to revise my target upwards, so thank you sincerely those who have already supported me.
