Story
150 miles in 3 days, 20 bottles of water. 10 cake stops. Many sore bums. A team of cyclists are determined to complete for 2 amazing charities: Smile for Life and Recyke-y-Bike.
I'll be cycling 315km starting in the city centre of Edinburgh on Friday 30th of September, along the Scottish and northeast coastline and finishing in Newcastle on the 2nd of October. Training for the event has already begun, and myself and the rest of the team are really looking forward to it.
I would be grateful for any donation, big or small, in support of myself and the team.
Recyke y'bike
Recyke y'bike take unwanted bikes and give them another life. Bikes are refurbished by a team of volunteers supported by qualified mechanics. Recyke y'bike provides supported volunteering opportunities to young people so that they can gain key skills. Refugees and people seeking asylum are also supported. People on low incomes can be referred for free bikes which enable them to travel cheaply and improve their physical and mental health.
Smile for Life
Our support enhances the life experience of disabled and disadvantaged youngsters, giving them the opportunity to smile. We put the needs of our beneficiaries at the heart of everything we do.
