Story

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

On October 2nd 2022, I will be running the Chester Marathon, fund-raising for Young Lives Vs. Cancer throughout September. It is a cause close to my heart as recently my family has been affected. Marikka and I's beautiful niece Cora was recently diagnosed with leukaemia and she has been nothing but strong and resilient throughout. I would love to give back to a charity that can help families through tough times like this.

Although I have run 2 marathons before Paris (2017) and Loch Ness (2018), this will probably one of the hardest marathons I've had to prepare for. It's been 4 years since competing in my last marathon, my long distance running habits have been replaced with short 5km city runs and studying at medical school has ruined my overall fitness, but I've made good progress in trying so far!

I will keep everyone posted on here with my training progress.

The funds for competing in this marathon are covered by myself. I understand times are tough for all at the moment, but I know a small contribution from a lot of people will really make a difference!
