Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Dad passed away on 10th April 2010 from prostate cancer, so I am aiming to run the London Marathon 2012 in his memory and to raise money for Prostate Action
Sadly Mum passed away on 22nd November 2011 but I know that both of them would have supported me in this challenge as they did throughout their lives! This is the least I can do in return!
There's now less than three weeks to go and have now done my longest run - 20 miles - so feel I am within crawling distance of the finish line! So now it's just a simple matter of easing off and eating lots of pasta - oh and actually completing 26.2 miles on 22nd April!
The other big push is on the fundraising front - and this is where you come in - any donation, big or small, will be going to Prostate Action to help fund research into prostate cancer. Too late for Dad, but hopefully one day no man will have to face what he went through!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
