Hi everyone!
Following on from the success of last years Marathon Du Mont Blanc where I raised upwards of 450 Pounds, I have decided to up the difficulty again and compete in the West Highland Way Challenge Race. In short this is a mountain trail race which starts in Milngavie and 95 Miles later finishes in Fort William. The cut off time for this race is 35 hours, however seeing as I am all up for a Challenge, I will be aiming to complete the race within 24 Hours, thus joining the prestigious 'West Highland Way in a Day' Club. Can I accomplish this? I don't know, but I will train like a beast and we'll find out!
Of course one of the reasons I do this is to push my limits, But an extra incentive can help drive a person to complete even the hardest challenge. This incentive in my case will be raising money to help innocent Children in war torn and impoverished countries around the world though UNICEF.
I always take my time and think about the world, the issues dear to me and what I care about and I have come to the conclusion that it is impossible deny that in my opinion a childs innocence must be protected above all other things. That is why I am running and that is why I ask...SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! Thanks xxx
