Our darling daughter Lara Meldrum sadly passed away from injuries sustained in a car crash along with her friend Jen.

Lara was critically injured. At the crash scene she was cut free from the car and given a significant amount of emergency care at the roadside before being taken by helicopter to Sheffield Northern General. Sadly, despite the immense skill of the team Lara’s trauma was so severe that her body simply could not cope.

The actions of this incredible service gave her every possible chance to survive. It also provided an opportunity for our family (mum, dad and brother) to spend the last precious moments of her life together. For this we will be forever grateful.

They receive no central government funding and we would prefer to see money donated to this cause than on flowers.
