Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Alzheimer's is a brain disease where the cells in the brain lose their connection to other cells. Research into this disease is essential as it is likely to hit someone close to us at any time.
My sister Carolyn died on 11th November 2013 from this disease leaving husband, three children and four grandchildren; she had been gradually deteriorating for some years but at quite a pace to the astonishment and frustration of those close to her. She was 67 and considered quite young to have this disease, it appears to be more rampant when attacking people at this age.
I am cycling London to Paris on 25th July 2018 and felt that this may be an opportunity to raise some money for this particular charity. I will be leaving Greenwich on Wednesday 25th and cycling to Dover, Thursday 26th taking the ferry to Calais & cycling to Abbeville, Friday 27th cycling to Beauvais & Saturday 28th on to Paris. All monies raised will go to Alzheimer's Research (the ride is already paid for).
