Not so long ago I received an E-mail from my Lieutenant telling me I was participating in the Cardiff Half Marathon. After I picked myself off of the floor, I read on to be informed I would be doing it with 50lbs of kit on my back! This time, after the paramedics woke me up I thought "What the heck. It's for a good cause" and it is indeed.

I'm running this half marathon with some of the guys from C company of the Royal Welsh. We are running to raise money for Help The Heroes. You would have had to have been stuck down a deep dark hole for the last few years to not have heard of this fantastic charity. Help For Heroes does wonderful work for soldiers and other servicemen and women both directly and through its support of other service charities.

So please dig deep and donate now.
