Having just spent the evening with my neice Lizzie (age 12 and a CF sufferer) and having watched her day to day battle with this terrible disease, I felt compelled to do something to help this great charity....

So I have decided to not shave for 6 months!

 

 

What is Cystic Fibrosis

.

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease that causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive tract. It is one of the most common chronic lung diseases in children and young adults, and may result in early death.

It affects approx over 8500 people in the uk.

This charity has done so much fundraising, but as always need more.

I have been inspired by the recent movember events and also by the man who raised a huge £11000 by growing his facial hair for a year.

I am of course going to make it interesting for you I will start on the 1st of Jan clean shaven....every two weeks I will post a new pic of how the beard is coming on and every month or so I will ask you all ( via facebook) to pick a colour which I will dye my hair ( think pink, think blue, think GINGER! lol)....The challenge starts the 1st Jan and ends the 1st June.Hope you can come along for the ride.
