Story
2016 has been a truly rubbish year for me.
However, life decided to offer up a stark reminder about how bad things can really get.
Over the past 18 months two of my family have been diagnosed with various forms of Cancer. I've also lost my Nan to it and over the past 15 years have seen friends as young as 21 taken by it too.
So as a tribute to their bravery in their fight in the face of a truly horrible disease (plus I needed my own mental and physical challenge); I've decided to enter a White Collar Boxing Challenge on the 18th December 2016, I'll be attending a bi weekly 8-week boxing boot camp at the end of which I'll be having an actual weigh in and finding out who my opponent is, after which I shall enter a boxing ring and we shall fight for three 2 minute rounds until a winner is declared by judges decision.
It's a challenge which is a bit different to the usual mud runs and marathons and is a great opportunity to get in shape, battle some of my own demons and hopefully raise money for what is a brilliant cause.
My Target is £500 but I'm hoping to beat that with your help!
I've got until the 2nd of November to raise the UWBC minimum of £50 and sell 20 tickets and then until Fight night on the 18th December to raise as much money and sell as many tickets as I possibly can.
You can buy tickets on this site and as you can see there are either standard or VIP so get a group together and get ringside to see me get my face punched in:
