Story
Peacefully, Christine Wilson (Aberdeen and formerly Kemnay), passed away on Wednesday 28th April, with Janet and Joshua by her side, following a 3 year battle with cancer.
Wife of (late) Clifford Wilson, Mum to Fiona, Susan and Janet, Granny to Joshua and Brodie.
She was positive to the very end.
Christine has chosen to donate her body to medical research, and as such a typical funeral is not held. Instead, a memorial service will take place, which unfortunately has limited numbers due to the current COVID restrictions.
You may have known Christine from Kemnay, or you may know her as the former receptionist at Black & Lizar's Opticians on Union Street, or by being the cheery Red Cross Meet & Greet wifey at the Rotunda entrance at ARI helping to support and guide you on your way. You may know her as your relative, friend, neighbour, colleague, or as the Mum or Granny to her daughters and grandsons.
We have created this Justgiving site for donations in lieu of flowers, to Friends of Anchor.
She benefited from the wonderful services this charity provides to cancer patients at ARI - she especially enjoyed the tailored pampering treatments from Carrie.
We have received some really lovely messages from people after sharing the sad news, who remember her positivity and fun and banter, so please, leave your name, and a memory of her for us to enjoy reading, whilst supporting her favourite charity.
Any kind words you share here about Christine will be shared on her dedicated Tribute page on Friends of ANCHOR’s website. You can view it here:
