Story
It is with a great sadness in my heart that on the 16th June 2014 my loving wife and proud mother of our son Daniel passed away peacefully at home.
She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on the 6th November last year and was sadly already at stage 4 having spread to liver and lung. The prognosis was only 6 months. In a sad twist of fate her mother had died of the same condition at the age of 60 back in 1982. Christine was just 54.
Christine fought very hard and battled many additional complications including a stomach bypass. Her happiest moment and her final tick list item was receiving in her final hours the news of Daniel achieving a 1st class honours degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. She was of course so very very proud of Daniel and his achievement.
The sad fact is that there is no developed screening systems and by the time the symptoms reveal themselves it's just too late. The work of charities such as the PCRF is vital and of course funding is limited as other more main stream cancer charities tend to take a precedence so please please help me, and Daniel to raise money for this very worthy charity.
In loving memory of Christine Goodwin
