Story
Family and Friends,
I am fortunate to have been selected to run with Spinal Research in the 2023 London Marathon – one of the top 5 marathons in the world!!
My why: when I started my running journey, I came across a runner during my training called Tommy Rivs Puzey, and he had a quote that just sort of stuck with me. “Movement is a gift”. Every run, every mile and every race , I just kept those words in front of me and I felt in a way I was running at least in my mind for those who couldn’t. I finished the Boston Half Marathon in November, and I knew then I was going to tackle a full marathon. I’m probably at an age where a marathon could possibly be a one and done event so knew I had to make this count, so....London!
As part of the team, I committed to raising at least £1,800 (about $2,250) that will directly benefit Spinal Research. I appreciate everyone is in their own space when it comes to charitable donations. If you find yourself with a few extra dollars to spare and are looking for a worthy cause, I’d appreciate if you consider donating to Spinal Research to help me with my fund raising goal, every donation is truly appreciated! Donating through the JustGiving page is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your donation directly to Spinal Research for the benefit of Spinal Research.
You can follow my fund raising progress by following my Just Giving page, and you can also follow my training progress through Strava (https://www.strava.com/athletes/48346241), or by connecting with me on Garmin Connect (Christine Myers in Canterbury NH). you can also connect the old fashioned way -by phone :-).
