My family aren't lucky with cancer.  I have lost my Mother, two Grandmothers, a Grandfather, and most recently my beloved wee Brother to it, and I'm running in memory of them all, but particularly for Hamish.  He was 50 years old and a fit and healthy man, with everything to live for and then he was struck down with cancer.  You feel so helpless when someone you love is diagnosed and there is so little you can do but be there to support.  But now I want to do something. I did the facebook selfie - that was easy. This is much harder for me.  I've never run - I used to hide during cross country at school so I didn't have to, and I really didn't think I could, but I'm working at it and I'm getting stronger and better and by July I should be able to do 10k, I hope.
