Story
Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page!
As those who know me will agree, I like to keep busy and set myself little challenges every now and then. Well this time I've set myself a much bigger challenge! I have decided to do a sprint triathlon! This consists of a 500m swim - 20km cycle - 5km run.
I hate running, I'm a beginner to cycling, and I get bored swimming, but I think with a bit of determination (and a lot of training) I can smash this challenge! There's just one small problem, I only have approx 5 weeks of training and a holiday in between! Anyway, I'll worry about that later!
I have decided to raise money for MS UK http://www.ms-uk.org/index.cfm/AboutUsLanding.
I have chosen this charity for two reasons:
My Nanna (Eileen Roberts) was diagnosed with MS in her early 40's, she eventually became very disabled, but never gave up, and never once complained about it.
In my job I have worked with people with MS. MS affects young adults, with devastating consequences. People can become wheelchair bound, fatigued, blind and dependent on others. It's an incurable disease and I am pleased to support a charity which helps people suffering from it.
