We fund research to improve the lives of autistic people

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Charles and I have chosen to run for Autistica, because I will become their new Chief Executive just 10 days before the race takes place and we want to do all we can to support this very special charity!

Autistica raises funds for medical research into the causes of autism and the money we raise will help support ground breaking research. About 1 in a 100 children are diagnosed with autism, a life long condition which effects an individual's ability to communicate, build relationships and understand the world around them.

Running a half marathon is a first for both of us, although I suspect Charles will find it rather easier, as he has only just left school where he did a lot of sport. We have been training hard though and are both really determined to be ready for the big day, so that we can do our bit to support all those who are affected by autism spectrum disorders.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
