Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I hear some of you ask why have you chosen to run the Birmingham half marathon, and then why for Diabetes UK, so let me explain.
I have never classed myself as a runner; in fact I have often said I cannot run. Around April this year Amy (seen in the photo) suggested a half marathon (she needed a warm up for her possible London marathon next year!). I am still not quite sure how this meant I ended up agreeing to join her but I did, so on October the 21st with many others we will run 13miles.
I chose to run for Diabetes UK as it is a charity that is now linked closely to my work, not only does it support patients and provide good sound information but many more things including funding research in the field. As I am sure you are aware Diabetes is a becoming increasingly common and we probably all know someone affected by the condition. So I feel any money I can raise will be going to a good cause.
