Fundraising for Right To Play UK
Hello!
This year I embarked on a number of personal/physical challenges which I proudly completed, thoroughly enjoyed and finished all with a smile on my face!
Of course I couldn't have achieved anything without the love & support of family & friends, my great coach Marsha, John and all my wonderful team mates at RG Active.
The positive encouragement from all these people have pushed me to test my limits, dig deep & have the confidence to attempt what I once considered the 'impossible'. What I've learnt is that nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it and believe in yourself!
I learnt to swim in an outdoor pool, progressed to open water swimming-in a wetsuit & goggles which is definitely not an attractive look! I completed a triathlon relay, a 2.25mile swim in the Thames, the London Duathlon relay, a 1500m open water swim (not to forget the RG Active open water swim races) and a 10km run. Now I'm trying to master riding a triathlon road bike!
All of this has inspired me to complete a full triathlon-Blenheim in June 2012. I'll be raising funds for Right to Play ( www.righttoplay.com), a great cause which encourages children in many poor countries around the world to play/interact with each other using sport to escape from their daily challenges.
To ensure I do my very best in June I'll be competing in a number of other events to help in my preparation- a half marathon, 5 & 10km off road races, long distance swims and other smaller triathlons.
If you can support me that would be fantastic and I thank you so much!!
