Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Hello everyone

As part of our  fundraising contributions, Gordon and I would like to express our appreciation and thanks to all at Roxburgh House Hospice

Gordon’s cancer journey started in 2016 with Metastatic Bowel cancer, we have been blessed with 5 years of making memories and cancer can never take them away from us

Very sadly the cancer has now spread to Gordon’s brain and we are in Roxburgh House hospice where Gordon is getting so well looked after.

The room Gordon and I are in, looks out onto the garden, which is beautifully kept, footpaths leading to quiet sitting areas and simply a wee peace haven.

Every second of the day the staff are taking care of their dear patients and their families.   This frightening and sad time is made less difficult because of the care everyone gives so generously,  outstanding compassion and empathy is given.

Gordon and I are blessed to be in a well maintained hospice with a beautiful garden, where we can reminisce, laugh, cry and know Gordon is safe whilst at the crossroads of life

As a recognition coming up-to Gordon’s 62nd Birthday on Friday 26/11 I have set up this fundraiser, each person donating will get the opportunity of winning a large sycamore handturned bowl, decoupaged by myself.  This will be a Scottish floral creation

Thank you all to help Gordon and I celebrate his 62nd birthday in the most positive way that We can think of, especially as our main man remains in the loving care of Roxburgh House.

Thank you

Love Gordon and Christine
