In January I am heading off to Borneo for 3 and a half months as a volunteer manager for Raleigh International.
While I am there I will be inolved in running numerous projects. The type of projects will vary and may be related to the local community, the environment or trekking.
Some examples of community projects are building kindergartens to enable children in remote area to receive an education or putting in water feed systems so that there is safe water to drink.
Environmental projects are aimed to help the preservation of the primary rainforest which is a large source of palm oil.
I would be grateful for your sponsorship for my own version of a triathlon to help me reach my £2000 fundraising target. The money raised will be used for the projects undertaken during my expedition.
On the 11th of September I will take part in a slightly different take of a triathlon. This will involve a 10k run, followed by a 10k mountain bike, followed my a 10k kayak all in and around the Mole Valley (Surrey). There will be lots of hills to run and climb on the bike and a couple of weirs to shoot in the kayak. I will do the 3 activities consecutively.
I have also had my 1st car boot to help raise funds and will be doing another one in September. If anyone has any items that they would kindly contribute again this would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance for your support
Chris
