Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.      This is Conors story.                                         In August 2017 I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Polycythemia Vera ( slow growing blood cancer) an incurable progressive bone marrow disorder which comes under the conditions of MPNs . This usually affects people over the age of 60 , I was 14, I guess I was just unlucky!                    I have had several small strokes ( TIAs) and a few other bumps in the road along the way! . I go monthly to Addenbrookes for  treatment called Venesection and I am on weekly Interferon injections to slow the abnormal cell growth. Thankfully I live a normal life ( new normal) . I hope to raise awareness and money to go towards this amazing charity who do research into this rare disorder. I am hopeful I will be the generation that through research  MPNVoice will find a cure to reverse this disease. Thank you all for your support, any contribution is gratefully received. Love Conor, Danny, Christine and Kacey.
