Story
Crossroads needs your help to support vulnerable carers throughout the COVID-19 global pandemic. We want to continue supporting local carers and with your support, this can be possible.
After 10 years of “shall we do the parish?....” Lorraine has finally talked Chris into taking part.
Chris works with Young carers aged between 5 years and 17 years old at Crossroads and sees first hand all the wonderful help and support that is given to carers of all ages by all of the amazing staff at Crossroads.
“I never realised just how many people are struggling to cope with every day life here on the Isle of Man. There are so many wonderful charities who help local people in lots of different ways, but before working at Crossroads I hadn’t thought much about all of those carers out there just trying to get by. A lot of them will always be a carer, for the rest of their life. It’s good to know a charity like Crossroads exists to give these people that extra support they so desperately need.”
Lorraine is a key worker at Nobles hospital in the laundry and worked hard through both lockdowns.
Like so many other people, we both want to get through this tough time and see our families who mostly live off island. In the meantime, having this challenge to look forward to and all our walking training has given us both something to focus on. The fact that we can hopefully raise some much needed money for a fantastic local charity is added bonus. Please sponsor us if you can spare a few pounds....and thank you so very much 👩🏻👱🏻♀️
