Having volunteered for St John Ambulance for over 20 years, I have seen first hand how invaluable St John's support to the Hampshire community has been.

At this time, during the coronavirus pandemic, many of our volunteers have offered their services on the front line to bolster and support the National Health Service. This is a heroic effort as the work involves long shifts with, of course, the added risk of catching the virus. Our dedicated volunteers are standing by to relieve pressure on our NHS by boosting the health response in Hampshire and in communities across the country.

Finally, just when we are needed most, we find our income from event cover has disappeared, hence the need for an emergency appeal, as we desperately need funds to support our work. Please do support in any way you can, to help us ease the strain during the COVID-19 outbreak.
