Having been diagnosed with SLE (lupus) a number of years ago during which time I had to retire from work (a job which I really enjoyed) change  my lifestyle completely, spent so much time at hospital I felt like just moving in oh and not forgetting an endless supply of "pills". It still surprises me that you still get all these other conditions going on.

My family have born the brunt of all this and I would be lost without them.  We decided last year to change a few things so got together to "walk" the Adidas womens 5k run - how thrilled we were just to finish AND raise money (big bonus)!!

This year my health has not been particularly good (sigh), so my daughters decided to enter the run  with me again this year, to have a good day out whilst raising funds for our cause.
