Story
Welcome to my 62 Miles in March challenge profile page for Diabetes UK. As some of you know, my type one diabetes journey and health recently has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I am one of the lucky ones whose condition is still manageable. Sponsoring Diabetes UK will support work which makes living with the disease manageable for others, and it will also fund critical research into all forms of diabetes and its fatal complications.
Diabetes UK has delivered life-changing breakthroughs which mean people living with diabetes are living easier, healthier, and longer lives. Their scientists work tirelessly to find life-changing new treatments and to move closer towards finding a cure. Since being diagnosed, I have had nearly 60,000 injections - so it's fair to say that the work Diabetes UK does really does bring a lifeline of hope to the diabetes community who are desperate for change.
I am taking on this challenge in a bid to work towards a healthier me, and a better future for people living diabetes. I am therefore making a commitment to run (and walk, where needed!!) 62 miles - or 100km - in March.
I will keep you updated on progress (once I work out the best way to do that!) as the weeks go by. Please support my challenge by donating via the 'Give Now' button on my profile page!
