10k might be a fun way to start the weekend for some, but I haven't been to the gym in five years and can't make it upstairs without getting out of breath!
I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2013, and I stopped exercising for a long time when it became almost overwhelming. I was having seizures every eight weeks, and stopped exercising to focus on regaining my energy. Now it's time to grab my trainers, get running and raise some money for a brilliantly supportive charity.
This year marks seven years since I had my first seizure, so it's quite fitting that the brilliant company I work for - Search Seven - match all of the money I raise (up to £250). On 7th December I will also be one-year seizure free, something I haven't been able to say since I was diagnosed. Definitely something to celebrate with sweat!
So please, help me raise money for such a fantastic charity - not only do Epilepsy Society provide vital information, support and research, they're also working with the government to keep the conversation open on Brexit restrictions for medication access.
