I ran the Lichfield half marathon on 6th May in memory of my lovely sister Irena, and to raise money for Sarcoma UK, the bone and soft tissue cancer charity. Irena lived each day to the full, her courage and love was an inspiration. This run was one way to celebrate her positive attitude and great energy.

I thought about Irena all the way -she was the motivation to carry on when it felt tough. Many thanks for all the support and donations, the money will enable Sarcoma UK to continue to help others and to complete much needed research.

(I completed the run in two hours and 15 minutes.)
