I am running the Bath Half Marathon on 15th October to raise money for SARSAS - the rape crisis centre for Bristol, Bath and Somerset.

SARSAS provide high quality, specialised, and, at times, life-saving support to people who have experiences any form of sexual violence at any time in their life. 

I am one of SARSAS's front line workers running one of our many services pan Somerset solo. I support survivors to cope and recover from their trauma and have dedicated my career to this sector.

I am very proud of the support we provide, however we continue to experience unprecedented levels of demand for support which is not being matched by funding. The waiting times for someone needing support are at unacceptable levels.

I am running the Bath Half for those on the waiting lists who need and deserve support can be reached sooner.
