Story
The Naked Ride- Saturday 19th June!
This year cancer has taken hold of yet another person close to me, within my family.
Last year I lost a dear friend and another friends daughter endured months of battling the disease before ringing the bell.
With the virus taking hold of so much within the world, charities are really in need.
Last year I successfully ran the gruelling Dursley peaks 10k challenge raising £800 for Bristol Children’s Hospital, this year I’m baring all and riding my Welsh Section D, Coalman, through the streets of Dursley, heading out of Dursley before arriving at Greene King owned, Hunters Hall In at Kingscote in aid of Macmillan.
Now of course I don’t want to be arrested for indecent exposure, so a bikini of type will be worn. This is taking me WELL out of my comfort zone as it goes without saying, I sport a fair amount of love handles, cellulite, a muffin top and gravity has taken over!
BUT- If I can make someone smile or laugh at my expense, whilst raising much needed money for Macmillan, then bring it on!
NOTE- If we can reach £400, then my other half Olly has promised that he will join me sporting something similar to a Borat mankini!
So please, sponsor me for this ride of shame, ‘The Naked Ride’ and help me bring some laughs to some faces and support to those in need.
Many thanks,
Christie McLean x
