Story
I've decided (some may say, been forced) into walking 100k (62miles) across the South Downs in the for Oxfam Trailwalk on the 27/28th July!
As a team, I have joined Lauren, Nancy and Lee to raise money for Oxfam by attempting to complete the 100km Trailwalker trail across the South Downs in under 30 hours! The Trailwalker was originally started by the Queen’s Gurka Signals Regiment over 30 years ago as a training exercise to test soldier’s stamina and teamwork skills.
This epic challenge walking for 100km non-stop will push our bodies to the limits both physically and mentally, testing our teamwork skills and strength of our relationships over the seemingly benign South Downs. There are no two ways about it; it’s tough.
A challenge where a third of teams drop out, we are not underestimating this mammoth task and are already in training to prepare for the inevitable aches and blisters to come. We are going to need all the support and encouragement we can get and most importantly any donation you make will help contribute to the 1.5m for Oxfam.
If you are feeling generous and appreciate the task ahead please do sponsor me! It going to be tough as old boots.....Hard Walk, Walk Hard!
Thanks,
Christian
