Hello!

Thanks for visiting my 'Christian Persuaders Relay Marathon' JustGiving page.

On Friday 18th March I am running a half-marathon with David McNee (www.davidmcnee.blogspot.com) who will be my Relay worker next year. He's raising support for his year identifying and training student evangelists, and I'm raising money to finish the Christian Persuader financial year on budget!

2 Runners + 2 half-marathons = 1 Relay Marathon! (?!)

When I was young and fit and played youth football, we would warm up by running the length of the football pitch and back. I'd cross the finish line puffing and wheezing, holding my side and collapsing into a heap.

This half-marathon will be like that, but a hundred times worse, because 21 kilometers is the equivalent of running the length of a football pitch, and back, 100 times!

But I'm very excited to run the distance, for two reasons. First, I'm loving training speakers for Christian Union lunchbar events (http://www.uccf.org.uk/christian-persuaders/) and second I'm keen to provide for my wife who's expecting our first child in May!

If you'd like to help me finish the race, then here's how you can do it.

£10 will get me through 50 meters (two lengths of a swimming pool)

£40 will inspire me to run the 200 meters, 2012 Olympics here we come!

£200 will cover one whole kilometer!

I've got less than two hours to complete the race, and we have less than ten days to raise the funds! Can we do it???
