Story
Hey people!
I am running the Leicester Marathon and three half marathons between April and October, in aid of Canine Partners, a charity specialising in the training of assistance dogs for people with disabilities. There is a national training centre based in Leicestershire, and everyone involved (doggies included) does amazing things to better peoples' lives.
Canine Partners is a registered charity that trains assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities including civilians and members of HM Armed Forces.
The dogs are trained to help with everyday tasks such as opening and shutting doors, unloading the washing machine, picking up dropped items, pressing buttons and switches and getting help in an emergency. They also increase independence, confidence, self-esteem, a sense of security and bring companionship and increased social interaction.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Or you can text CTCP 85 to 70070 for a suggested donation of £5
So thank you so much for visiting my page and taking the time to read my blurb! If you could spare any donations that would be awesome, and I'll keep everyone posted with boring updates on training, gorgeous selfies of me in tracksters and high-vis running tights, and not-so-gorgeous selfies of me hitting the wall and puking up jelly babies at the 18 mile marker in October.
Love from Chris
