Story

🏊🏼‍♀️ Swimming the distance of the English Channel with the use of only one arm 🏊🏼‍♀️

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page! I am raising money for the Ben Saunders Foundation, which offers support to teenage and young adults battling cancer. Ben & I both fought similar aggressive Sarcomas and were next door neighbours on the hospital ward with our treatment often lining up. Sadly after multiple operations and intense treatment the chemotherapy became unsuccessful. Before Bens passing, his wish was to create a foundation to help and support other cancer patients!

To mark one year of Bens passing in August, I’ll be swimming the distance of the English Channel to raise awareness and much needed funds for Bens foundation. I’m currently recovering from Bone Cancer (Ewing’s Sarcoma) which led to the removal of my shoulder blade, without the use of my left arm I’ll be swimming the 21 miles over the course of 3days. This is going to be a massive challenge as I’m still recovering from muscle atrophy, fatigue and the effects after chemo!

Thank you so so so much for any support and don’t hesitate to visit the BSF website and social media’s to find out more!🎗🤍
