This year I am raising much needed funds to take a team of colleagues, fans and students to do some amazing work in Botswana.  In July 2014 we will be visiting a developing area of Gaborone in Botswana to spend 10 days volunteering with several community projects.

The trip will provide staff and students with an opportunity to use the inspirational power of sport to improve people’s lives.  At home the trip will support the work of Bristol City Community Trust, which serves the greater Bristol area. 

The projects we will immerse ourselves in include; supporting local teachers, coaches and youth workers in developing their skill sets to enhance opportunities for others.  Whilst those travelling from the UK will give a lot to this project I am confident that staff and students on the trip will also gain an incredible amount from undertaking such work.
