Story
Hello, my name is Chris.
Once upon a time my mental health was in such poor shape that I was confined to my couch with neither the will nor the energy to do anything but lie there and think about how miserable I felt.
Life felt dark, bleak, and hopeless.
Then I started running.
Getting out there, being physically active and taking in the fresh outdoor air helped me to improve my mental wellbeing to the point where I was able to not just get off that couch, but start feeling better and thinking better.
It helped me to develop enough positive mental wellbeing that I was able to retrain as a counsellor, hypnotherapist, and psychotherapist, and ultimately help people who once felt as awful and as hopeless as I once did.
Still, as much as I am absolutely passionate about helping people through my therapy work at CJS Therapy, I couldn't help but think about all the thousands of people still struggling with their mental health that I'm not able to reach, and I wondered how I could still help them.
That's when I had the idea to run 100 miles in November to raise money for Mind, an awesome charity who work tirelessly to support those struggling with their mental health and ensure that everyone who is struggling feels both supported and respected.
Between Monday, November 1st and Tuesday, November 30th, I'll be setting out to complete 100 miles over a series of runs, and I'd love to ask for your support.
Can you help me to raise money for this incredibly worthwhile and life-changing charity?
Even just £1 or £2 will go a long way to making a difference.
For every £8 we raise together, Mind can offer a lifeline to someone is desperate need of support by letting the Mind infoline team answer their call.
For every £15 we raise, Mind can campaign for access to better support and care for those in need.
For every £21 we raise together, Mind's invaluable online support community can keep running for one hour.

I'll put the hard work in, all I'm asking you to do is give just a little bit, and if you can't give right now, you can still support me through words of encouragement.
Trust me, I'm going to need them, because let's face it:
100 miles is bloody far!
