I don't plan to break any records, I have 5 injections of insulin a day and I've got Asthma, never done one before, so just want to complete.
Will Run, Walk , Hop or Crawl as required!!.
Any money that you're kind enough to donate will go to Rethink.
Thanks in advance.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rethink gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your support.
HI everyone
Much thanks to everyone who has and are donating, the money's going to a good charity, who help people like my mum. She suffered with Schizophrenia for over 30 years and help for her was frustratingly hard to find.
As for the run I aced it, We think my time is just under 2hr's the only thing to slow me down was the cramp after the 9 mile mark, it started in the calfs then hit the thighs. Going to look at ways to stop that next year, maybe a little training, and less beer before hand would help. With just 2 miles to go I was limping badly and losing ground to other runners, then with half a mile to go Jo popped out with her camera and shouted I could do it in under 2hrs.
That was it then, gettng a good time for my mum was important can't say why but it was.So I dug deeper still, and took as many scalps as I possibly could before crossing the line.
Thanks so much for donating(Especially with the credit crunch), and helping me to do something constructive.
Quick Update
I ran the 13.1 miles in 2hrs 0 Minutes & 2 seconds.
I didn't Ace it, but I think I did her proud.
Couldn't have done it without the great support of the Marshalls, and the other runners. Everyone who donated and of course Jo.
