Story
I am planning to walk 120 miles from North Devon to the southern coast of Devon in 5 days. This is across Exmoor, a bit of Somerset and Dartmoor. I want to raise money for The Thin Blue Paw who have not once but twice stepped forward and helped our RPD Atos when he ruptured both cruciate's in the space of 8 months.
Atos is a retired explosive search dog who served for over 6 years before arthritis forced him to stop. He’s now destroying tennis balls in South Devon.
The Thin Blue Paw are a charity which literally saves retired dogs lives when they retire. Without the support some dogs would not be able to be rehomed due to ongoing medical costs.
I will be wild sleeping and being self supported, only stopping for provisions on the route. Starting on Sunday the 22nd of August, over moorland and Tors, to finish on Thursday the 26th of August which will be Atos's 9th Birthday.
Unfortunately due to the two surgeries Atos has received in the past few months he cant help and participate, so a sub will be called in, we will call him B-tos.

We're a national charity supporting serving and retired police dogs from across the United Kingdom! Many people are unaware that retired police dogs do not receive financial support in their retirement from the force they served with, meaning the responsibility for their care and vet bills fall solely to their ex-handler or new owner. Unable to get pet insurance due to their working life, many are left with ongoing vet bills which can amount to thousands. The foundation provides much needed financial support to these unsung canine heroes.
