We support 2 great causes to help injured RL players and beat cancer!

Story

Our @spfcharity team will be tackling the highest mountain in North Africa Toukbal, and then playing the 1st ever game of Rugby League in the Sahara Desert this October! We will go through extremes of hot and cold!40 degrees plus during the day and then minus degrees sleeping under the Sahara Stars at night! "What the mind believes, the body achieves"

After joining the Steve Prescot Foundation charity in 2020 for my first challenge 1000 miles walk, after coming across cancer treatment for our Son Freddie, looking at keeping busy, motivated and keen to keep my mind occupied. Sadly saying goodby to Freddie in July 2021. Looking and reaching out for a support network, a team of people that were keen to drive and push on forward, In memory of the great man Steve Prescot, a legend in him self but a rugby league legend at that. And to fly the flag high for #thumbsupforfreddie. Ticking so many boxes that i needed at the time I joined the team. We chipped away throughout the year raising vital monies and awareness, making friends for life and still being here to tell the story I am extremely greatful to yet again to play a small part in the next and BIGGEST challenge to date that i have ever done.

Already doing the Manchester marathon in 2021 with my dad, one of the proudest moments in my lifetime & 2022 going again to push boundaries and keep funding coming in, taking on a 5 k a day challenge for 365 days, aswell as recent events of the St helens 10 K with Danny Sculthorpe Wilmslow half marathon, park runs and any excuse to try and fundraise to the highest of my ability.

After recent months of struggling, going to the darkest of places and going through mental health problems, depression, anxiety and sleeping issues. I find myself starting to try and take on the days with a bit more positivity, sharing my stories and speaking out loud and proud to try and support and help others, in a working together attitude to raise about the dark and see the light. I am proud of everyone's efforts and I will be flying the flag loud and proud for the coming months in the build up to this phermonimal and gigantic challenge.

Let's make the days count, don't count the days

#together stronger #together we can
