Story

I had an abusive child hood and would like to help the NSPCC to help others and to raise awareness.  I didn't have anyone to speak to or confide in, and suffered in silence.  The work the NSPCC is doing with their Speak Out Stay safe campaign is amazing.  If I can raise the funds to help just one child, it will be worth all of the training, pain and hard work.

I have wanted to do the Marathon for many years but was unable to because of a series of injuries.  I had general anaesthetic 10 times in 2 years, due to hip operations (one of which was a full replacement), full shoulder reconstruction, knee surgery and two collapsed discs in my spine and replaced with titanium.  However I have worked hard on my rehabilitation and am determined to complete the marathon for a great cause that is close to my heart.

It will be a massive challenge, and any donation would be appreciated, no matter how big or small.
