Fundraising for Male Cancer Awareness Campaign
Hello there
Hello there
So, Reykjavik marathon is done. It was a toughie...no crowds to cheer us on, some brutal winds and the odd hill thrown in for good measure.
I'm pleased to say that I finished in 3hrs 45mins and 44 secs - a new personal best and 4 minutes faster than Berlin. I didn't anticipate that I'd improve, and would have been happy with just a sub 4 hour run.
Thanks very much to everyone for your support - I've exceeded both my charity fundraising targets.
HOWEVER...you can still donate...by donating to the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign you'll be supporting a friend of mine, who has very recently been diagnosed with testicular cancer. It was all extremely sudden and he now undergoing some pretty gruelling chemo and radiotherapy. And he's only my age. So please show your support! You can see more about what the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign does under my photo.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Male Cancer Awareness Campaign gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks for any support you can give and for all your support you gave in the lead up to the race.
